 Hydro-Therapy
is the therapeutic use of water and baths, both internally
and externally, and can be traced back over 6,000 years.
External Hydro-Therapy, (or Balneotherapy) in conjunction
with the use of soothing aromatic essential oils, Food
Grade 35% Hydrogen Peroxide, Sea Algae, Herbs, Aloe
Vera or Dead Sea and other mineral salts, is a profoundly
effective healing approach that is used extensively
at The Way to Balance, LLC in our Hydro-Therapy Treatment
Room.
 The
various water therapies have benefited our clients by increasing circulation,
detoxifying and relaxing the body, stimulating the immune system, as
well as increasing muscle tone and reducing fatigue and pain.  Many
are particularly beneficial in treating Fibromyalgia, Lyme Disease,

Alpha-State
Light & Sound Therapies:
Combines
strobe light with strobe sound to more fully entrain
brainwave states. Balances the left and right brain hemisphere
activity, and enhances Relaxation, Stimulation, Peak
Performance, Learning, or Mental Clarity and Focus (according
to the program selected). It induces an alpha or theta
altered state, while the client relaxes with a set of
with LED eyeglasses with light stimulation and headphones
with gentle sound beats (dual binaural beats, sine-wave
sound, alternating tone and surf, etc.). A pleasant,
mind-altering experience….
Aromatherapy
Steam/Fume Cabinet:
The client sits
inside the steam cabinet on a cushioned bench, with his head and face outside
the cabinet. The heat and steam are combined with essential oils such as
lavender, eucalyptus, pine needle, sage, lemongrass, etc. for positive
effects on the nervous and limbic systems, deep tissue detoxification and
relaxation of the body, enhanced blood and lymph circulation for the immune
system. Not recommended if you have high blood pressure.
Aromatherapy
Whirlpool:
The client’s
body is immersed in a tub of 95-106 degree water with the water source
pressurized through whirlpool jets to relax and detoxify the body. Specific
essential oils are added, according to the client’s needs, to affect
the nervous and limbic systems, detoxify the body, reduce aches and pains,
and increase blood circulation.
Castor Oil Packs:
A white wool flannel
pack is saturated with cold-pressed Castor Oil and applied with a heating
pad to a particular part of the body, according to the client’s need,
for 45 minutes-1 hour each use. Frequently recommended by Edgar Cayce,
renown Medical Intuitive, in the 1920’s-1940’s, and still highly
effective for lymphatic and liver stimulation and cleansing, joint pain/arthritis,
psoriasis/eczema, and much more. (Also available for purchase and home
use)
Cayce Wet Cell
Appliance Treatments:
First recommended
by Edgar Cayce in the 1920’s, and still highly effective in delivering
the energy of Gold Chloride (muscle and nerve regeneration), Silver Chloride
(glandular and immune system stimulation), or Camphor (scar tissue breakdown)
directly into the body using a very low electrical and radio wave vibration
from nickel and copper rods and plates. This device does NOT interfere
or damage the body’s natural electro-magnetic field, as many other
appliances in use today do. Very beneficial for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s
Disease), Multiple Sclerosis, other nerve or muscle damage or degeneration. (Also
available for purchase, by special order)
Custom Facial:
We use all-natural
botanical skincare products by Astara® , customized according to your
skin needs, to deep cleanse and moisturize. Each facial includes exfoliation
with daily refining scrub; botanical cleansing gele’; facial mask
(Deep Cleansing with either Blue Flame or Violet Flame Masks; Hydration
with Golden Flame Mask; or Rich Nutrients/Vitamins with Green Papaya Enzyme
Mask); Toning with Alpha-Hydroxy Acid Nutrient Essence; skin rejuvenation
and repair with MicroCluster® Anti-Oxidant Infusion; and moisturizer
according to your skin type. (Skincare Products also available for purchase
to take home)
Dead Sea Salts:
Israel’s Dead
Sea Mineral Salts are world renown for their very high concentrations of
magnesium, bromine, potassium, calcium, and other beneficial minerals known
to have therapeutic effects for Arthritis, Psoriasis/Eczema, Fibromyalgia,
Chronic Pain, Anxiety and Stress-Related Disorders. Clinical studies have
shown that these particular mineral salts, especially in combination with
balneotherapy (hydrotherapy) play an important role in treating many inflammatory
and non-inflammatory conditions in the body.
Ear Candling/Coning:
A non-invasive
technique that harmlessly draws out physical and emotional debris from
the ear canal through a hollow linen tube wrapped with a small amount of
herbs and natural beeswax. Very relaxing and soothing; frequently removes
excess earwax, yeast, foreign debris, etc.
Electric Massager:
Provides a soothing,
oscillating massage that safely and painlessly relaxes tight muscles and
stimulates circulation on all body types and sizes. The gentle vibratory
action increases blood and lymphatic circulation, thereby stimulating the
immune system function, while creating a sense of well-being and relaxation.
Foot Reflexology
with Aromatherapy and Sea Salt Foot Spa:
A brief foot spa
treatment with heat and vibratory whirlpool with added Sea Salts and Aromatherapy
Essential Oils begins to relax the central nervous system, the feet and
the legs. This is followed by the healing art of foot massage, stimulating
master energy points to rejuvenate and revivify all parts of the body and
the central nervous system.
Healthy Swing/Chi
Exercise Device:
A passive aerobic
exerciser that oxygenates, tones and strengthens the body while increasing
feelings of aliveness and well-being. Improves the immune system by increasing
blood and lymphatic circulation; relieves muscle tension and chronic back
problems; stimulates the internal organs, etc. The client lies down on
his/her back, and the gentle swing motion moves the entire body by the
legs, thereby stimulating "Chi", or "vital life force" energy
throughout. At the end of 15-20 minutes, you will experience a tingly glow
and sense of well-being.
Mineral/Herbal
Bath:
The client relaxes
in a tub of 95-106 degree water, with added Israel Dead Sea Mineral Salts
from Israel, essential oils, herbs, and pure virgin olive oil. The soothing
and hydrating effects of our special blend help to eliminate toxins gently,
soften tight muscles, remineralize the body tissue. Our special blend is
as equally therapeutic as most hot mineral springs, due to the synergy
of our ingredients. A perfect transition to a therapeutic massage session.
Oxygen Bath:
The client is immersed
in a tub of 102 degree water, with added 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide
and essential oils. Very beneficial for gentle detoxification of the skin
and deeper tissue through the Oxygenation properties of both the food grade
hydrogen peroxide and essential oils, which gradually build in their therapeutic
effect during the 25-30 minutes balneotherapy treatment.
Paraffin Treatment
of the Hands, Feet or Spine:
Warm liquid paraffin
wax is applied to the appropriate area of the body, either by dipping or
brush. In cases of joint or back pain, we often apply The Energy Of
Life® Magic Heat Liniment before brushing on the paraffin, to allow
deep penetration. The paraffin slowly dries and firms, while maintaining
a deep heat and moisturizing effect that stimulates release of toxins and
increases synovial fluid flow to the afflicted area. Particularly beneficial
for joint and spine pain or stiffness, arthritis and other inflammatory
conditions.
Salt Glow Exfoliation/Detox
of the Body:
Our own special
blend of Mineral Sea Salts from the Dead Sea in Israel, & Essential
Oils are gently massaged over the entire body using a light circular motion,
to remove dull surface skin cells, increase circulation, soften and smooth
the skin, eliminate toxins from the muscle tissue, and stimulate the lymphatic
system. Also beneficial in breaking down cellulite. The blend is applied
to the body, and the client is then gently wrapped in warm sheets to allow
the therapeutic effects to continue. (Followed by a whirlpool treatment
if part of a package). Not recommended if you have severe high blood
pressure.
Sea Algae Body
Mask/Wrap:
The therapeutic
use of sea algae is also known as Thalassotherapy, and has been used in
European Spas and Mineral Baths extensively. Our own special blend of marine
algaes, aloe vera gel and pure essential oils is used to eliminate toxins,
restore nutrients and minerals, revitalize the metabolism, rehydrate, and
help break down cellulite. The mask is applied to the body, and the client
is then gently wrapped in warm sheets to allow the sea algae to perform
its therapeutic treatment. Very beneficial for post chemotherapy or radiation
treatments, psoriasis/eczema, adrenal fatigue or exhaustion, beauty and
skincare for more youthful skin, other conditions requiring toxin elimination
and revitalization. (Followed by a whirlpool treatment if part of a package). Not
recommended if you are allergic to iodine.
